5th Edition This, fifth edition is published exactly one year later that fourth. It has few - but significant additions and changes. The foreword to fourth still reflects well my current preoccupations. I managed to articulate in a clearer way how our thought might be working. In progress, I also managed to outline what information might be and how we could estimate its value. In addition to this, I outlined a kind of dynamic logic our thought might be using to decide what is true, undecided or false. This kind of dynamic logic seems to be a significant simplification, in a discrete fashion, of neural networks that are analog. I hope that this might be a start that could soon produce some tangible results. My progress in extremely difficult arena we call emotions is slow but steady. I succeeded in dispelling some myths, but a lot more work is required to discern our emotionally driven "choices" from, what we call, "free will". Damir Ibrisimovic 25 October 2003 |
